Shape how truck drivers will charge in the future

Trucks are less than 3% of all vehicles on EU roads, yet they burn half of all diesel and emit a large share of road CO₂. Electric trucks cut those emissions, but charging on the road is still hard: drivers struggle to find a charger that fits their truck and route.

FLYYT takes care of that and more. Our driver app plans the trip, reacts to traffic jams and other surprises, and reserves chargers in advance. Your work takes diesel off the road, one truck at a time.

Who we are

FLYYT is a young startup from Hamburg. We are a small, motivated team with different backgrounds. Everybody works hands-on, founders included. We decide quickly and move fast. Everyone leads and shapes where the company goes. The best idea wins, whoever it comes from.

What you will do

You work directly with our Product Manager and the founders on the product. The focus is UX and design, plus other tasks that come up in a growing startup.

  1. Design UX flows end to end. This is about more than screens. You think through the whole journey: How does a driver get into the app, how do they charge and pay on the road?
  2. Design the driver app and web portals (e.g. with Figma), from first sketch to clickable prototype.
  3. Research users and solutions. You study how truck drivers and dispatchers work, look at how other apps solve similar problems, help prepare and run interviews and tests, and turn what you learn into concrete improvements.
  4. Support product work with day-to-day tasks such as keeping the list of planned work up to date, release planning, writing user stories, testing and evaluating feedback.
  5. Startups change quickly, so your tasks and responsibilities might change over time, depending on current priorities and on your experience and interests.

What we offer

  1. Real responsibility: Your work goes into a live product, and you have a direct influence on how our users experience it.
  2. Direct line to the founders: short paths, fast decisions, a lot of learning.
  3. Grow with the startup: We are building the team. Those who prove themselves can take on more responsibility.
  4. AI-native way of working: You get professional AI tools and learn how to use them in everyday product work.
  5. Flexible hours: Your studies have priority, and working hours are planned around your lectures.

What you bring

  1. You are studying for a master's degree (or are an advanced bachelor's student) in design, media informatics, business informatics, computer science, industrial engineering or a related field.
  2. You have first experience with Figma or similar tools, for example from personal or university projects, and can ideally show results (portfolio, prototypes, work samples, if available).
  3. You think in user problems and workflows, not just in screens, and you pay attention to detail. It matters to you to understand users and how they work.
  4. You use AI tools as a matter of course to research, design and structure faster.
  5. You work independently, enjoy getting into new topics and drive things forward.
  6. You speak and write fluent English and German.
  7. Interest in e-mobility, energy or logistics is a plus, but you do not need prior knowledge.

You do not need to meet every point. We welcome applications from people who fit only part of this profile.

Our office

Our office is on the Isekai in Eppendorf, right on the Isebekkanal and has a nice terrace. If you feel like it, you can come to work by SUP or kayak. We share the building with other small companies from the renewable energy sector, and once a week we go for a lunchtime run together (optional, of course).

We like working together on site. We have no fixed office days, but we'd like you to be around the office regularly.
