Marketing & Marktforschung

We make Smart*ish* Money, a YouTube show that takes real economic ideas — the boring grown-up stuff — and turns them into something a little weird, funny and easy to understand. Always backed by real numbers and a kid's sense of wonder and curiosity.

The role

Edit our videos (about 8–9 minutes each) on a regular basis. You won't start from scratch — for every video you'll get a finished script, a voiceover, and a detailed briefing from me. Your job is to bring it to life: source stock images or GIFs, cut it together, get the comic timing right, and add simple visuals (AI tools are welcome for basic illustrations — no professional art skills needed).

What we're looking for

  1. Living in Berlin — really helpful, since we'll meet up from time to time, but not a deal-breaker
  2. Some video editing ability — instinct matters more than years of experience
  3. A basic understanding of economics and finance — this matters most. No degree needed, but you should find money and the economy interesting
  4. A good sense of humor, especially the dry, deadpan kind that works well on YouTube
  5. Comfortable using editing software and AI tools
  6. Reliable and easy to talk to

What we offer

If things feel good after a 30-second trial edit, I'd like to build a long-term working relationship. You get an ongoing role with regular, dependable income, flexible hours around your studies, and a genuinely fun job where you'll learn a ton and help others learn too.

To apply, send:

  1. A link to anything you've edited
  2. Your availability and your rate
  3. And the fun part: pitch us a weird economic story you'd love to make. Something like "How much would it actually cost to build Jurassic Park?" — a strange question with real numbers behind it. One or two lines is plenty.

If money-made-funny sounds like your thing, we'd love to hear from you.
