Responsibilities

1. Research think tanks, policy institutes and research organisations relevant to our areas of work.
2. Identify appropriate contacts, including research fellows, programme directors, policy analysts, senior researchers and external relations officers.
3. Collect and verify professional contact information and relevant background information.
4. Contact selected think tanks and policy experts using approved email and telephone outreach.
5. Introduce our organisation and areas of work, and arrange introductory meetings where appropriate.
6. Conduct professional follow-ups and maintain accurate outreach records.
7. Track responses, next steps and scheduled meetings in our contact database.
8. Monitor relevant research, publications, events and policy discussions to identify potential opportunities for engagement and collaboration.

Candidate Profile

1. Strong research, organisation and written communication skills.
2. Professional and confident when communicating with think tanks, researchers and policy professionals.
3. Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
4. Comfortable working independently and following a structured research and outreach process.
5. Interest in international affairs, public policy, geopolitics, economics, diplomacy or related fields.
6. Ability to identify relevant institutions, experts and research areas through effective desk research.
7. Careful handling of contact information, research materials and confidential business information.
8. Ability to self-reflect, which is a key part of the internship.
9. Ideally, you are someone who wants to develop a career in international affairs, public policy, research or think tanks.

Salary Range: Around 2200€ after taxes
