You’ll join the small team servicing our newest client while sharpening your security skills on internal R&D sprints.

Your mission

Keep daily ops smooth — and level-up our security posture.

What you’ll do

1. Provision & maintain users, groups and licences in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
2. Onboard laptops (Windows/macOS) into MDM; arrange occasional hand-overs in the Berlin office.
3. Triage first-line tickets (password resets, access issues) and escalate complex cases.
4. Run weekly maintenance: check patch status, backup logs, security-centre alerts.
5. Document fixes & run-books so the next person (maybe you, maybe future-you) can repeat them fast.

Stretch projects (≈ 20 % time):

1. research current CVEs affecting SaaS stacks and brief the team,
2. script a “one-click hardening” setup for new laptops,
3. help draft our incident-response playbook or ISO 27001 checklist.

What you bring

1. Enrolled in CS, IT-security or similar or proven strong technical skills (at least 2 semesters left).
2. Basic admin skills in Windows or macOS and a scripting language (PowerShell, Bash or Python).
3. Solid English; German nice-to-have.
4. Curiosity, reliability, and the guts to say “I don’t know yet, but I’ll find out.”
5. Happy to help people achieve their goals by empowering their IT.

What we offer

1. €16-19 per hour on a Werkstudent contract, reimbursed training hours, and equipment.
2. Flexible scheduling around lectures; increased hours possible in semester breaks.
3. Mentoring from senior cloud & security engineers; roadmap to a junior full-time role.
4. Remote culture with quarterly team days in Berlin and client site visits when hardware touches are needed.
