As part of 4flow’s excellence strategy, our 4flow research unit carries out research projects, develops innovative digitization solutions and prepares market-relevant studies in the field of supply chain management. As part of the NOLAN research project, a collaborative public-private initiative that aims to investigate scalable emergency supply chain solutions for catastrophes in urban areas that is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, we offer the opportunity to complete an internship while writing a thesis.
Grow with us and become a part of our excellent team at our locations in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich or Stuttgart.
What your new challenge will look like
As an important part of the project team, you will support us in improving the supply security of essential goods for urban populations in emergency situations caused by pandemics, oil shortages or the like. You will research the structures and processes of scalable emergency supply chain solutions and model material and information flows for emergency supplies in urban areas. One specific focus of your work will be analyzing supply chains in the food industry (brick-and-mortar and online) on the basis of real-time data. In this context, you can also expect to visualize future scenarios in retail logistics. You will initially support the project for a five-month period, and in the sixth month you will concentrate on completing your thesis. The specific topic of your work will be defined in coordination with your supervising professor when you start with us. In our regular colloquia, you will also have the opportunity to discuss the task and the methodology.
