PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
This position is within the Concept Car Team in the SAP solutions organization. The Concept
Car Team is focusing on development of creative concepts to address new market opportunities
and re-envision existing product areas.
The Concept Car Team’s charter is to make SAP’s products irresistible in form and function by
starting the path from idea to product with rapid concepts akin to the concept cars in the
automotive industry. In today’s market it is more critical than ever to iterate rapidly, validate and
either fail quickly or ensure successful productization.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You will be able to directly contribute to the prototyping of natural language processing and
semantic technologies in the domain of business software.
Your tasks will be highly connected to latest insights in the research communities and allow you
to try out innovative approaches as part of your engagement.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary and international team and work with designers, cognitive
psychologists and computer linguists with a solid background in artificial intelligence and natural
language processing. Additionally, various collaborations with German and foreign university
departments are taking place as part of this project.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Student (f/m) of a university or a university of applied sciences, preferred fields of study:
Computational Linguistics and/or Artificial Intelligence
Preferrably a graduate student (f/m) with a first degree in another discipline (e.g. Cognitive
Psychology, Linguistics, HCI) or an intermediate degree in the current study program (e.g.
B.A. or Vordiplom)
Logic programming (e.g. Prolog), with proficiency in any of the following fields: automated
reasoning, natural language processing, knowledge representation, semantic technology
English required, German optional
Creative problem-solving attitude, relaxed mind, open to professional discussion and review
Results-oriented, keen to generate tangible and functional prototypes

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, copies
of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers
(including internships). Describe your experience and skills with foreign languages, computer
programs, and programming languages.
