PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Premier Customer Network (PCN) Hosted Industry Summits are internal networking and pipeline creation events that have become a critical part of the sales program in SAP. For 2011 we plan to hold 12 to 15 of these events throughout the world and need skilled project leaders to join our team to drive and be responsible for the results.
The Summit Project Leaders are responsible for all aspects of the PCN Hosted Industry Summit program. Working as a team, they will collectively drive all aspects of these events.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Project Management:
Help manage projects from beginning to end
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
Help manage all logistics, contracts, vendors, and 3rd party involvement
Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Project Communications Management:
Join Program Management Office (PMO) meetings
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Determine the frequency and content of status reports analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Student (f/m) of a university or university of applied sciences
Preferred fields of study: Business Administration or a related field
Knowledge of basic MS office products and Collaboration Workspace
Fluent English is required, other EMEA languages preferred
Ability to take ownership and responsibility for driving tasks. We will push as much responsibility and authority to the team members as they are willing to take on. This is an opportunity to get real project leadership training.
