Job Offer: QA/Support Representative Intern (Central London, UK)

If you want to be part of it, here’s your chance: We’re currently looking for a QA/Support representative to join our Mendeley QA team!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Liaising with our community to handle user enquiries of varying natures, including general usage enquiries, logging feature suggestions, and replicating and isolating bugs reported for subsequently relaying to the respective development teams.
• Working closely with our development teams for the continuous testing of forthcoming new features, and progressive bug fixes.
• Maintaining documentation on the test cases and scenarios to help measure test coverage and maintain a level of regression testing.
• Write, and maintain automated test suites for both Mendeley Desktop and Mendeley Web using knowledge from JavaScript, Qt and HTML.
• Assist in maintaining virtual machine clusters for cross-platform interoperability testing.

All of the aforementioned tasks involve working closely with our development teams and require a good understanding of software development principles in order to allow for both efficient and effective development practices.

WHAT YOU SHOULD IDEALLY BRING

• Work experience in a QA and/or support role
• Experience working with Win/Mac/Linux – computer science background a plus
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with a positive customer service attitude
• A good understanding of software, with an ability to troubleshoot problems independently
• A basic understanding of software development processes
